The Magicard Avalon is the new entry level ID badge printer from Ultra Electronics Card Systems.

Magicard printers are the only brand that automatically prints an anti card-copying watermark onto the card during the print cycle. It costs nothing to print the Holokote™ watermark – standard dye film ribbons are used to print on standard CR80-sized PVC cards.

At €2,245 suggested retail price for the printer, and €0.36 per print for the dye film, the Magicard Avalon represents excellent value when compared to other mid-range printers.

The Avalon is a fully-featured single-sided color ID badge printer, which :

■ Prints a full color edge-to-edge 300dpi image, including Holokote™ watermark, using dye-sublimation technology.
■ Features a 100 card capacity input hopper and 50 card capacity output stacker for batch printing.
■ Offers magnetic stripe card encoding as an available option.

Magicard secure ID card printers include the entry-level Opera and Alto, the high-security, high-throughput Rio and Tango models, as well as the top-of-the-range reverse transfer Prima. All printers feature advanced card security options.
