HSPD-12 Approval for Magicard ID Card Printer
Homeland Security Presidential Directive 12 (HSPD-12) was announced by President Bush in August 2004 defining a new policy for the issuance of a standardized credential for all US Federal employees and contractors. At the heart of HSPD-12 is a highly-secure ID card, employing biometric technology and visual security to ensure only authorized persons have access to government facilities and information.
“We are very pleased that the Magicard Tango +L was approved with no restrictions, proving that it is an excellent product for FIPS 201 card printing, encoding, and lamination” said Andy Matko, Magicard Team Leader. “The Magicard Tango +L is also compatible with all major software applications related to HSPD-12, and we are working closely with other vendors in providing integrated solutions to meet full HSPD-12 / FIPS 201 registration and card issuance needs.”
The Magicard Tango +L provides an excellent value ‘one-stop’ solution for HSPD-12 / FIPS 201 card issuance, combining high-quality ID card printing, secure lamination, and encoding of the card biometric data in one compact package.
