Card Access Systems
Access control to buildings, secure rooms, car parking and computer systems is often the key driver for introducing a card system. Access control systems allow different levels of access reducing the need for security guards and can monitor when people have entered and left facilities. Magicard printers support access control via encoding of the card's magnetic stripe or smart chip. Magicard printers fitted with the correct encoder will write user data to the card at the time of printing.
Lamination
Standard or Custom holographic laminates are available for the Prima 4, for visual security combined with card protection. Standard holographic laminates provide attractive security features without the setup cost. For highest security, special order laminates can include features such as holograms, micro text, and color changing images.
ID card security
Custom HoloKote Flex is a full size, secure Custom HoloKote watermark. Custom HoloKote Flex imprints a logo watermark of any size and location on the card. Compared to custom holographic laminates, it's a mere fraction of the cost, and available in days, not months. For a modest set-up fee and no extra ongoing printing cost, you can print as many cards as you like with your Custom HoloKote Flex design. Printed with your Magicard Rio Pro printer, Custom HoloKote Flex is customized to your design, and delivered on a CD with a unique RFID card for total security.

Multi-encoding
Magicard ID card printers support a wide range of card encoding in the printer.
Mag stripe: A dual coercivity HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder option which offers encoding on all three tracks with complete user format flexibility.
Chip contact: Optional ISO 7816 internal smart card chip encoding contact station can be combined with the magnetic stripe encoder option (Specify/MS).
Contactless: Various contactless smart card encoding options are available: Mifare, iClass, Inside Technologies, Desfire options available.
Combi: Combi encoding (contact chip, Mifare, Desfire and iClass) is supported by all Magicard printers

Holokote
The patented Magicard HoloKote anti-forgery card protection eliminates the threat from fake IDs. HoloKote is an anti-copying watermark printed across the entire card surface. When the card is viewed at an angle, the HoloKote watermark provides visual authentication. There is no additional cost involved in printing HoloKote cards.
