Government ID Cards

The use of card technology in government is growing beyond the traditional ID cards, drivers licences and military personnel cards, towards new credentials for homeland security, fire, emergency and police services. Government ID projects demand the highest levels of security and card protection. To protect valuable credentials, the use of smart cards to hold and access information is now mandatory, the Magicard Tango +L and Magicard Prima are ideal for this purpose.

Magicard ID card printers support a wide range of card encoding in the printer.

Mag stripe: A dual coercivity HiCo/LoCo magnetic stripe encoder option which offers encoding on all three tracks with complete user format flexibility.

Chip contact: Optional ISO 7816 internal smart card chip encoding contact station can be combined with the magnetic stripe encoder option (Specify/MS).

Contactless: Various contactless smart card encoding options are available: MiFAre, HID i-Class, Inside Technologies, Desfire options available.

Highest level of security

    Lamination

    For the highest security, order your printer with a Custom HoloKote key. This secure memory card stores a custom logo and plugs into a dedicated port on the Magicard printer. When the Custom Key is connected, the stored logo is printed as a watermark in the protective coating during the print cycle. You provide us with your logo design, and we program it into a Custom Key.

  • Ultra Violet ribbon

    Ultra Violet ribbon

    A dye sublimation Ultra Violet ribbon (YMCK-UV) allows the printing of invisible photographs, logos, text or symbols. The UV ink is not detectable to the naked eye, it is only visible under UV light.
