Magicard travelled to Dallas, Texas recently to attend the ASIS trade show and explore some of the most exciting and innovative new inventions within the security industry. We also had the opportunity to showcase some of our own!

The Magicard ID card printers business of Ultra Electronics has opened an office in Adelaide, Australia.  The new office will provide sales and marketing support to Magicard resellers in Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and other South Pacific nations.  

The new office will be headed by Mandy Kerr, who is appointed to the role of Sales Manager, Australasia.  Mandy is moving from the UK, where she has been Sales Office Supervisor for Magicard, as well as selling in the field to Australasia and Eastern Europe.  With more than 4 years experience with Magicard, Mandy also has extensive international business experience, and Australia will be the fifth country she has lived in.

Magicard has updated the Pronto printer with a rewritable card feature that is now available as standard on all Pronto printers… at no extra cost whatsoever. Unlike most rewrite printers in the industry, the Pronto printer allows you to print in full color or rewrite in a choice of 2 colors, black or blue, on a rewritable card.

With the Pronto, businesses looking for a complete solution to print loyalty, visitors or promotion cards in low volume can print their card design in full color as usual using a YMCKO film. Then setting the Pronto in rewritable mode is easy; just remove the YMCKO dye film from the printer and close the lid. The rewrite feature allows you to print, erase and update information in blue or black over and over!
