The Magicard Rio Pro was introduced at the start of 2011 as the replacement for the Magicard Rio 2e and Tango 2e printers. To allow for a smooth transition to the new Rio Pro, we have kept the Rio 2e and Tango 2e in production during the overlap period.

With the vast majority of demand now switched to the new Rio Pro, we will stop production of the Rio 2e and Tango 2e printers by the end of June 2011.

Magicard travelled to Dallas, Texas recently to attend the ASIS trade show and explore some of the most exciting and innovative new inventions within the security industry. We also had the opportunity to showcase some of our own!

The show is a great chance to catch up on what’s new and see some faces, both old and new! This year we showcased some of our own products- including an exclusive preview of the brand new Rio Pro printer . Magicard has updated the Pronto printer with a rewritable card feature that is now available as standard on all Pronto printers… at no extra cost whatsoever. Unlike most rewrite printers in the industry, the Pronto printer allows you to print in full color or rewrite in a choice of 2 colors, black or blue, on a rewritable card.

With the Pronto, businesses looking for a complete solution to print loyalty, visitors or promotion cards in low volume can print their card design in full color as usual using a YMCKO film. Then setting the Pronto in rewritable mode is easy; just remove the YMCKO dye film from the printer and close the lid. The rewrite feature allows you to print, erase and update information in blue or black over and over!
